Conditions look wrong
Water temp, wind and tide come straight from NOAA CO-OPS and the National Weather Service. If a reading looks off, the upstream station is usually the reason — tell us which pier and when.

Size and bag limits are summarized from SCDNR and they do change. Always confirm before you keep a fish, and let us know if the page is behind.
SC regulationsMy catch report has not appeared
A person reviews every report before it publishes, usually within a day. If it has been longer than that, send us the pier and the date.

Do I need a fishing license on a pier?
Most Grand Strand piers hold a blanket saltwater license that covers everyone fishing from the pier — you pay the pier fee instead. Check the individual pier page; a few require your own SC saltwater license.

What is the bite score?
A 0–100 blend of tide stage, solunar period, barometric pressure, water temperature and wind. Anything above 70 means conditions line up well for feeding fish.
How often do conditions update?
Tide, water temperature and weather refresh from NOAA and the National Weather Service on a schedule; the timestamp on each conditions card shows the last successful pull.

Can I submit my own catch?
Yes — use the Report a Catch button on any pier page. Reports are reviewed before they appear in the public feed.
