Assembly
Tying the king mackerel rig (stinger rig)
Wet every knot before you cinch it down. Dry mono cuts itself as it tightens.
Attach a barrel swivel to one end of the wire leader using a haywire twist.
Attach the main J-hook to the other end of the wire with a haywire twist.
Use a short piece of wire (4 to 6 inches) to attach the treble stinger hook.
Connect the stinger wire to the bend of the J-hook.
The treble should hang about 2 to 3 inches behind the J-hook.
